ABSTRACT
This study aimed to examine the effect of the ethical climate, with its dimensions (caring, independence, law, rules, and instrumental), on job satisfaction, with its dimensions (payment, promotion opportunities, job content, and supervision and work relationships), among employees of the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology in Sana'a, Yemen.
The study adopted the descriptive-analytical approach and used a questionnaire as the primary instrument for data collection. A stratified random sample of 268 employees was selected. The findings indicated that the overall level of ethical climate within the Authority was high, with the dimensions of law and rules ranking the highest among the ethical climate dimensions. The regression analysis revealed a statistically significant positive effect of the ethical climate on job satisfaction, with the ethical climate explaining a substantial proportion of the variance in job satisfaction.
The results also showed that the overall level of job satisfaction among employees was high, although relatively lower levels of satisfaction were observed regarding payment and promotion opportunities. Furthermore, the findings demonstrated statistically significant effects of all dimensions of the ethical climate on job satisfaction. Significant differences were also found in respondents' perceptions based on demographic variables, including age, educational qualification, and years of service.
